Awards

Our awards celebrate teams and individuals in Ontario’s cancer and renal systems who make major contributions to the improvement of healthcare in Ontario.

Quality and Innovation Awards

The Quality and Innovation Awards honour work that improves cancer care delivery in Ontario. This work may include new approaches, processes, products or programs. The people and teams who receive the awards have made a significant difference, improving one or more of the following for the cancer system:

  • efficiency
  • the patient experience
  • cost effectiveness
  • sustainability

This annual event is sponsored by the Cancer Quality Council of Ontario (CQCO), Cancer Care Ontario and the Canadian Cancer Society, Ontario Division.

The Human Touch Awards

The Human Touch Awards recognize exemplary compassionate patient care. Nominees include healthcare professionals, providers and volunteers working in the cancer and kidney care systems in Ontario.

The awards highlight some of the best work happening across the province. Award winners show the power of compassion and the human touch by making meaningful differences for patients and their families. Their work affects and improves the experiences of patients every day.

Nominations

We need your help to nominate and celebrate the unsung heroes on the front lines of the cancer and kidney care system in Ontario. You can help by nominating those who work tirelessly to provide the true “human touch” to patient care.

Help spread the word and encourage nominations in your local community!

You can nominate anyone who meets the following criteria:

  • Healthcare professional or volunteer
  • Part-time or full-time
  • Works directly with patients receiving cancer or kidney care in Ontario
