Health Human Resources
Ontario Health administers and supports a suite of Health Human Resources (HHR) recruitment and retention programs funded by the Ministries of Health and Long-Term Care. These initiatives respond to health system trends, expand the provincial health workforce, and maximize its equitable distribution across sectors and communities in greatest need. We are committed to building a skilled, adaptable, and well-supported health care workforce to deliver high-quality care across the province. By collaborating with health care professionals, employers, educational institutions, and policymakers, we develop and implement strategies to tackle current workforce challenges and anticipate future needs. Our initiatives focus on workforce training, optimization, recruitment, retention and integrated capacity planning.
